George Peter Esau passed away at the age of 83 years at his home on August 24, 2023. He is survived by his wife Linda; his children, Kim Esau, Kelly Dixon (Ian) and David Esau (Kristen); his grandchildren, Camille (Kourosh), Keith, and Ally as well as his brother, sisters, nieces, nephews and extended family members. He was predeceased by his first wife Judy in 1998.
George was born and raised in Port of Spain, Trinidad and moved to Canada at the age of 18 to attend the University of Winnipeg. He built a career in insurance brokerage and established the firm Oldfield Kirby Esau. He was an avid golfer and sports enthusiast. He and Linda enjoyed family, friends, travel, winters in Florida, and driving his beloved Porsches.
We would like to thank everyone at St. Boniface Hospital as well as the Palliative Care nurses and home care providers for their care and compassion.
The service will be held at Thomson “In the Park” Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd., on September 5 at 10:00 AM. For those who wish to join virtually can select "join livestream" below.
