I would like to invite you to a celebration of my wonderful time on this planet. I passed away after a short illness with cancer. I leave my wife, Debbie of 42 years, my daughter Corinne (Kurtis) and my son, Jeff (Laura). My children will never know how proud I was of the way they grew up being model adults, displaying a great work ethic. My grandsons, Cole and Conner were my greatest joys. I enjoyed the “sleep overs” and looked forward to them. Unfortunately, I was just getting to know Brandon and Miles, both seem like good kids. Of course, my mother-in-law Ginny was always an inspiration.
I was predeceased by my dad (Henry), my mom (Lucille) and my sister (Doris).
As I mentioned I had a great time on earth. My professional career saw many successes starting with obtaining my CGA degree in 1977. Until my retirement in April 2013, I worked for companies that allowed my career to grow and experience a variety of exciting business transactions.
My life was not all work though. My love for sports which included baseball, hockey, Tae Kwon Do and golf allowed me to meet a lot of people, most of whom I was proud to call a “friend”. My years at St. Boniface Golf Course and K.S. Cho College were among my fondest sporting and friendship memories. Especially bringing Cole and Conner out, for some putting lessons, even though I was hardly qualified to teach them! Now they are both enrolled in Tae Kwon Do.
I would like to thank the numerous doctors, nurses, DI and lab staff at all the hospitals where I was treated and who worked with me during my illness. Their dedication and loyalty to their respective positions is commendable.
A celebration of my life will be held at St. Boniface Golf Club on Monday, April 13, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. A private interment will be held at a later date. Although I always stopped to smell the flowers while I was alive, I can’t do that anymore. So rather than flowers, a contribution to any children’s charity of your choice would be appreciated. Kids are the future and giving them joy or opportunity is everything an adult can do for them. Who knows, some kid out there might just discover the cure for this awful disease!

Soul mates forever throughout eternity,
I know I’ll always find you wherever you are,
No matter the consequence,
No matter how far,
Even in death I shall love you more,
To fuel my search to find you,
So we shall love once more,
Across space and time, you are drawn to me,
One love, one life, we are destined to be,
Soul mates forever, throughout eternity.
~ Debbie
