I was so saddened to hear of the passing of Irene...such a dear lady and a wonderful friend.  I first got to know Irene as a parent when teaching at Golden Gate and later had the privilege of working with her for many years at Athlone School. The wonderful memories of Irene will always be in my heart.

So very sad to read of your Mom's passing, Brent. I hold such wonderful and warm memories of her from my days at Athlone. She was so sweet, full of such grace, and always so welcoming. Heaven has gained a lovely lady, for sure. My deepest sympathies to your family. Madeleine Loewen

Having lived so far away, I never really got to see my "Auntie" Irene and Uncle Russ growing up. But I always appreciated the birthday and Christmas cards every year like clockwork. It is a special kind of person who does good and shows care without ever wanting anything in return. Aunt Irene will be dearly missed.

Scott, Dawn , Jonah and Cam please know that friends are thinking of you during this difficult time and are holding you close to their hearts.
