They were married for 49 years where Mom raised 5 children in East Kildonan. In her 92 years she wore many hats. She was employed in the restaurant business, sewing industry and owned and operated a hardware store with her husband Bill. She had many interests including volunteering for the church, bowling, gardening and neighbourhood taxi service for her friends. She was an avid baker and was famous for her delicious apple pies which she made from her cherished apple tree in the backyard. She also loved to knit and crochet and made many keepsakes for everyone. Mom especially loved family time and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
