I am so very glad that my dad was able to have a 4 generation picture taken before he got his angel wings.

As I sit here at work looking out the window, I think about and how things would be if you were here. My birthday passed in December and I fully expected to receive a phone call from you and Karen and hearing the two of you singing me happy birthday on the other end. My dad was an amazing, loving man with a quirky sense of humour that always made me laugh. You are missed so much by all. I love you daddy

This obituary says nothing about the man my dad was. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. We was a gentle soul. I look back at my life with my dad and I don’t ever remember a time that he ever raised his voice to me. He never judged me or criticized the choices I made. He let me make them right or wrong but was always there to pick me up when I fell. I look at your picture every day and it still doesn’t seem real that you are gone. I love you Daddy

There are far too many memories to share about my dad, but I think my favourite one is when he called me and told me he was sitting next to his new girlfriend Karen, who ended up being the love of his life in whom he married and spent the rest of his life with. He was giddy and was like a kid in a candy store. It has been 2 and a half years since we lost you and not a day goes by that I don’t think about you and wish I could have one last chat, one last hug and one last I love you
