With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Hoa Bai Truong, who passed away peacefully on February 3, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born on May 22, 1958, in Vietnam to his father Minh Dao and mother Hung Truong, Hoa was the second of six children. After the passing of his eldest brother at a young age, he stepped into a role of responsibility that would define his life—one marked by sacrifice, strength, and unwavering devotion to family.
Hoa was a devoted husband for 49 years to his beloved wife, Vien Huynh, and a proud and loving father to their five sons: Thanh, Tuu, Hue, Thomas, and Timmy. To his sons, he was their greatest hero—THE O.G.—a role model of courage, integrity, and perseverance.
He was also a cherished father-in-law to Alisa, Nosheen, and Kim, who respected him deeply and were grateful for his guidance, strength, and example.
In 1984, Hoa made the brave decision to leave Vietnam in search of a better future for his family. He came to Canada with his sister and his son filled with determination and hope. Through years of hard work and sacrifice, he sponsored his wife and 2 sons and together built a stable life. Eventually purchasing his first home. He later sponsored his parents, siblings, and nephew to Canada, reuniting the family and opening the door to greater opportunities. He helped many of them find work and supported them as they built their own futures.
Hoa worked as a machine operator and was known by his coworkers as a loyal, honest, hardworking, and kind man—always dependable, always willing to help. Even in his final days, he continued to think of others first, asking about work and family rather than himself.
He was a proud grandfather to six grandchildren—Nicholas, Triton, Tianna, Angela, Grace, and Zoyah—who brought immense joy to his life. To his nieces and nephews, he was more than an uncle; he was a father figure who offered guidance, protection, and unconditional love.
Hoa Bai Truong will be remembered as an honorable man whose life was defined by selflessness, loyalty, and deep love for his family. His sacrifices built the foundation for generations, and his legacy will live on in all the lives he touched.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Rest in peace,
“OUR FOREVER #1.”
