Suddenly on Friday, December 3, Ed passed away at his residence. He is survived by his wife Gaye, brother David, sister Megan Gauthier and nephews Martial, Michel and Joel. Predeceased by parents Allan and Elizabeth and brother-in-law Joseph.
Ed was born in St. Asaph, Denbighshire, Wales and immigrated to Canada with his mother arriving in Winnipeg during July 1946. He spent the next 5 months on Melbourne Avenue, East Kildonan before moving with his parents to St. Vital where he resided for the rest of his life.
Ed spent his working life in the plumbing industry, being employed by Crane, Cronkhite, EMCO and then Western Supply his entire career.
Ed was a long-time member of the Manitoba Wildlife Federation and Fort Garry Legion where many friendships were made. A lifelong fisherman and waterfowl hunter, he especially enjoyed the camaraderie of his fellow lodge owners at Tin Town, Delta Marsh.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held in the spring of 2022 when Covid restrictions have been loosened.
