JULY 16, 1944 ~ MARCH 12, 2014
Dr. Inderpal Singh Thind was born in India to S. Gurnam Singh and Manjit Kaur. Eldest of three brothers, loving husband, father and grandfather, Dr. Thind passed away on March 12, 2014 due to sudden heart failure.
Dr. Thind completed his PhD in Botany from Punjab University, Chandigarh in 1975 and had a stellar career as a college and university teacher in India.
He was a very humble, family oriented and fun loving person who enjoyed the company of family and friends immensely. He came to Canada in 2009 to join his two sons Devinderpal Thind and Barjinder Thind, who are both living a successful life in Winnipeg with their families.
He will be fondly missed by all the members of the family and friends in India and elsewhere, but especially so by his three grandchildren: Tanya, Joshvir and Aikam.

Funeral service will be held at Thomson “In the Park” Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard at 2:00 pm on Tuesday March 18, 2014, followed by a prayer service at 5:00 pm, at Gurudwara Sikh Society of Manitoba at 1244 Mollard Road.
