I want to wish Bernie and Peter my sincerest condolences of the passing of Irene. She was such a happy positive person with always a smile on her face. Although I have not seen Bernie and Irene for several years I remember the great times we had together in the 70s ,80s and 90s training dogs together. Schutzhund has come a long way in Manitoba and Canada because of Irene and Bernie.

Bernie and Peter
I am so sorry for your loss.
Over the years (35 +) I can’t say that I ever heard her say
anything negative about anyone or anything.
What a terrible loss for all that knew her as well as the German Shepherd Dog family. She will be so missed.

Dear Bernie & Family,

I'm so very sorry for your loss. I meet Irene 30 years ago, at a GSSCC National she was one of the most warm & gracious people I've ever had the pleasure of knowing.
We shared the love of our German Shepherds & cruising. I will miss our warm hugs, her beautiful smile, our talks about our travels, dogs & life in general.
RIP Irene your family misses you as does everyone who knew & loved you. {{{HUGS}}}

I met Irene and Bernie back in 1995 when I became involved in the GSD world. Irene and Bernie welcomed my wife and I into the sport and always made us feel included, despite having show-lines. In all my years of knowing Irene I NEVER heard her say a mean thing about anyone. She had a kind heart and always looked for the good in people. Rest Easy Irene and make sure God keeps his books in order.

I worked with Irene for twenty years. She made everyday enjoyable in the office. She always had a story about her family, her dogs and all her traveling adventures. We shared many laughs over the years. We both retired at the same time but thankfully kept in touch. I will miss her dearly. My sincere condolences to Bernie, Peter and Vanessa.

I first met Bernie and Irene in 91 when I started the dog sport. We have been friends every since. She and Bernie were at every National and Regional event I was at, and we always found time to share a beer and a laugh together. We were so excited when they joined the WWDC, and they of course were great club members. I was there when she got her first BH, and the excited look she had when she passed. She was a great ambassador to our sport, and volunteered thousands of hours to helping where she could. A strong, beautiful woman. She will be greatly missed by us, and anyone who had the pleasure of meeting her. Jim
