Hi mamma,Maria here. I still cannot believe you are gone.....but whenever I think of you, a great presence of peace surrounds me. You lived your very best life right up until the last moment. I learned many things from you but your lessons have not ended and only continue to teach. One of the pictures that made me smile was the one of you sitting at a small table in front of about 4 high chairs ! Yep, welcome to our house and my mothers life of giving.
Miss you every moment of every day.....xo Maria

In 1993, Mama Jean took me in when I was pregnant and alone. I brought my baby girl, Kaitlin, home from the hospital in March 1994. Kaitlin loved her as Nona.
We loved Mama Jean so much - she made you feel like family. She loved me when I felt my most unlovable, she gave me and my baby a safe and stable place to live. She was my Mama, my friend, my confident and a Godly example to follow. I remember at one of her birthdays I played Celine Dion’s song “Because you loved me” for her. My life was radically changed by her. I will see you again one day Mama Jean. Love you, Kathi xo

I met Aunty Jean in 2003 through her daughter Andrea. Right away i could tell she was out going and willing to talk and care for anyone. over the next two years while living in Winnipeg I would have many fond discussions about God and life. then when i left Winnipeg I would visit her and have tea with her and Andrea. She was a generous woman that opened her home to so many. A true inspiration of how to be hospitable with people and the gifts God gives us.

I remember countless times of her talking on her phone and waving hello as I would pick Andrea up or drop her off.

Enjoy the fathers mansion and thank you for touching my life with your example.

God Bless

If I could be but 1/2 of the woman you were Jeannette, I would be thankful. No one knows the inside pain you suffered watching all of us go through our pain but you never waivered. You made a mark on everyone's heart and your home was a swinging door for whoever needed you. I so wish I could have seen you. I never knew how sick you really were. You have made me a better person because you lived a living bible life. You practiced what you preached. Many of us will be in heaven because you made us shape up and wouldn't let go of the life line. I will miss you every day because you were like a second mother to me and you always said it as it was. Even if we didn't like it we knew you meant business and to heed. I will love you on earth as long as I am here and I will meet you in heaven again. My friend, my confidant, my mentor. Who is going to fill your shoes? We need to step up and carry the mantle. Loved you so much.

Mama was a one of a kind woman with so much compassion and understanding. My brother and I would always call her our day mom or Mama. Often we would call to tattle on our night mom when she didn’t do things Mama’s way. She spent years teaching us to be the best people we could be and I owe so much of who I turned out to be because of her guidance and love. She will always be a part of me and will never be forgotten. Miss you Mama.

I have many good memories of times spent at the family home with my parents as a kid. There was always a kind word whenever I dropped by. She was a close friend of my mother who passed away twenty years ago.

Condolences from Joe and myself.
