Joan is survived by her children; Susan (Glenn), Lisa and Mark; grandchildren; Shane, Alanna and Ashley (Tim); great-granddaughter Kirah and future great-grandchild due next month as well as lifelong friend Jean Brewer.
She was predeceased by her mother Dora, father Bert, brothers Merton and Bernard and special pet Taffy.
Mum was an avid volunteer over the years. Besides the many hobbies and interests that she had her family and friends were # 1.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at 2:00 pm, at Thomson “In the Park” Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard.
Special thanks to Gail from Home Care. Their shared love of animals created a special bond and Mum looked forward to Gail’s visits. The family would also like to thank all other care givers for their help, especially Dr. J Werier.
