Sorry to hear of John's death.  It must have been very sudden and I missed it earlier.  As the obituary says his death was too soon.  I am sure it is hard on both of you, a life partner and a fraternal twin, and your families.

We are so saddened to hear about John. We knew him and your family as part of the Waterford Avenue neighbourhood in Winnipeg. We fondly remember the neighbourhood get-togethers, dinners and swimming at the Wildwood Club down the street with you and all the kids. John always brightened up the proceedings.

This picture was taken at the 1985 Briar in Moncton. I was the 5th man and coach of the team and Michael was only 3 months old. He will be 40 next year! Where has the time gone!

You always knew it was going to be a GREAT night when you entered a room and heard John's boisterous laugh before actually seeing him.  That man had a lot of charisma.

We are so glad we got to know him and call him a friend.

Our hearts go out to you and your family as you grieve the loss of John whom we remember fondly from all the summers our family vacationed at Big Buffalo Cabins.  We recall how helpful he always was when we had a question or request and we fondly remember him every morning making the rounds watering the flowers, placing the cushions on the garden furniture ....making the cabin grounds attractive and comfortable for the guests!  It was always a little bit like coming home for us every time we rented a cabin at Big Buffalo!

John was such a great person. Met him in Florida and we were great friends playing many games of table tennis. He would constantly be better than I was but always a gentleman. Always said to him he reminded me of my dad, who I loved dearly, always complementing me on improvements.

Both Lynne and I were shocked to hear of his passing as I had just chatted online with him a couple of weeks prior to his passing.

Judy and I would like to convey are sincere condolences on the untimely passing of John. His curling skills and successes were only surpassed by his positive, friendly and down-to-earth approach to life. I don't think we ever saw John without that engaging smile on his face and that sparkle in his eye! 
We cherished the friendship developed with you and John over these past many years -always looking forward to our get-togethers in Florida to chat, laugh and reminisce about special times in our lives. 
You were always so generous to share drinks and delicious refreshments whenever we got together. 
John was a great storyteller! We will never forget the entertaining curling stories he told with such a uniquely humorous spin.  
John made his mark in so many ways and will certainly be missed.

John has been a great friend since, well, elementary school. Yes, we’ve known him and the entire Bubbs clan for a long time. The memories I have had with John I will always cherish. We certainly had some fun and crazy times growing up, table tennis tournaments (the only thing I could beat John at, occasionally), curling, golfing and generally just goofing around. Even as we grew older and maybe a tad more mature, we still maintained this wonderful bond we had forged. You left us way too soon my friend.

We send our heart-felt & deep condolences to the entire family.  We know that you will all miss John dreadfully, but we also feel sure that the world will miss him!  What a truly great guy he was, and so much loved by so many.

We are thinking about you all, and also of all the many wonderful times we spent together over so many years -- at Christmas parties around a grand piano, singing with all the Bubbs brothers in full harmony, at Falcon Lake and Clear Water Bay, sledding on the banks of the Red River, and at so many family gatherings and reunions.  We will post a family memory-photo from one of so many of these family events -- now many years ago -- featuring John's ever-beaming smile.

I was so saddended to hear throgh our cousin Bob Adams that John had passed.  Hopefully, with some peace.

His passing will leave such a hole in your lives that will not easily heal!

I have enjoyed playing badminton with John for a number of years and also spent time golfing with John in Florida and Falcon Lake. 
Over the years I have also had occasion to meet Shirley and the rest of his family. I wish you well in these sad times.
He will always be remembered as a great sportsman and a lot of fun to play with.  HIs sense of humour was always appreciated. I will certainly miss those times.

Wishing the Bubbs family strength and comfort through this difficult time.  John was such a great soul, with an infectious laugh, kind heart and just fun to be around. Many memories come to mind, but curling seniors with Skipper John brings a smile, as does the famous Dauphin Men’s Bonspiel.  Cruising the Caribbean for John’s 50th brings back fond memories as well. There are no words to capture how sad we all are to lose a friend way too soon in life.
