Mr. Hughes is one of the nicest, most sincere people I have ever met. I met him in the fall of 2007, when I started cleaning his suite for him. Since the every 2nd Tuesday I spent hours with Mr Hughes talking. I learned so much about family, life ,'taxes' and so much more. I have only met one grandaughter ( Erin and James), and have spoken with Darlene on the phone, but I feel as though I know his family so well. He spoke so highly of everyone, his excitement , his concern, and his love for his family was so profound. Absolutely beautiful. He spoke alot about his wife, Jean and how much he loved her. There was one cabinet full of pretty trinkets he told me from the beginning 'not to touch'. ( Don't dust in other words) As they belonged to Jean and he wasn't ready to 'clean it up just yet'. I respected that. He talked about her cooking and how much he loved it. All the cleaners at my company loved him. He was so nice to them too. I always said  treat him and his place as you would want your grandpa to be treated. Cookies at  Christmas were always a hit! He made a huge impact on my life, he will be greatly missed. My thoughts are with his family and friends. I regret I had to miss his service today due to inclement weather and school closures in my area. And today I know he would understand me not being there, because when it snowed or rained and I showed up he would say 'Why did you travel in this weather?!' So today I took his advice like I have so many times. You will be  loved and missed always.
