

He was the best brother to Elva O’Neill (Lamprecht) and Irene Deda (Lamprecht) and a wonderful uncle to Marilyn and Bob Kowalchuk, Greg Deda, Lorie Deda, Kevin)’Neill, Karen Kersch (O’Neill), Greg Sokalski, Bev Kochuk, Theresa Navis, Chris Sokalski
He was born in Winnipeg in the old Grace Hospital. He worked for many years at the McLeods Store warehouse. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and has caught many master angler fish. He loved watching the Blu Bombers and Winnipeg Jets and discussing the players and how the teams were playing. He loved to play hockey and played for his team until he was 63. He was an avid snowmobiler and spent the winter riding around the lake well into his eighties. He loved to build and fix things and helped many friends and family with their projects, a real jack of all trades. You would always count on him to tell you how to do something. He would spend the summer in his garden and spend the fall harvesting and canning his produce. Xmas Eve was always a favourite time for him as all the family would gather for the famous yearly fish fry and his favourite pastries. He was proud of his classic Mercury Monarch and visited car shows showing off his baby. He loved to travel to Europe to visit relatives Hani and Sept Lamprecht, Melitta Lindenau, Erwin, Karin Gavic.
