

Jack was born in Stratford, Ontario. In World War II, he joined the Royal Canadian Air Force where he excelled as a pilot, receiving several medals, including The Distinguished Flying Cross. Upon returning from service, Jack married Jean (Pearce), and then graduated from Applied Science Engineering, at the University of Toronto.
Jean and Jack moved to Calgary and began raising a family.
With their children, Sheila (Ken), Robert (Irene), Charles ( Allison) and James, they later moved to Winnipeg, where Jack continued his rewarding 35 year career with Johnson Controls Ltd, including a 5 year special assignment, in Australia. Once he retired, Jack enjoyed spending more time with his family, especially his grandchildren Laura, Lauren, Graham, Andrew, Shannon and John. Jack was a long time member of The Association of Professional Engineers, and The Reh- Fit Center. He enjoyed painting, and met his goal to write and publish a novel (Fortune Cookies).
Jack will be remembered as an intelligent, caring, generous, energetic person with a unique and enjoyable sense of humour. He will be missed by family, friends and his numerous aquaintances. He sustained his clever wit and friendliness throughout his ninety-four years!!

The funeral service will be held at Thomson “ In The Park ” 1291 McGillivray Boulevard on Sunday, November 1, 2015 at 10:00 A.M.
