JOVAN DIMITRIJEVIC With great sadness we announce the passing of Jovan Dimitrijevic, the beloved husband of Maja, father of Bojana and Dragana, grandfather of Julia, father-in-law of Thomas and Joost and friend on November 17, 2016 at St. Boniface General Hospital at 85 years of age.
Jovan was a well-known and respected sports journalist in his home country, former Yugoslavia. As of 1996 he was a proud citizen of Canada. He enjoyed playing tennis at the Wildwood Lawn Tennis Club where he was a member for almost 20 years.
A Private service will be held on November 21, 2016 in Winnipeg, followed by a memorial service in the spring of 2017 in Jovan's home town of Sarajevo, according to his wishes.
