Biji was born in Pharalla, Punjab, India and immigrated to Canada in June 1980 with her late husband Pritam Singh Warraich and family.
She will be remembered by her loving sons Nishan (Sarbjit), Amarjeet (Amar), her daughters Kulwant Goraya (Davinder) of Toronto, Manjit Sandhu (Shivcharn), Harjit Cheema (Kiranpal) and Sarbjit Randhawa (Dr. Baljinder). She will also be fondly remembered and missed by her many grandchildren, along with her many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank The Saul and Claribel Simkin Centre as well as The Poseidon Care Centre for all their dedication and support during the last years of Biji’s life.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 23, 2010 at 10:00 am at Thomson “In the Park” Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. Akhand Paat will be held at Winnipeg South Sikh Centre, 500 Dovercourt Street. Beginning Tuesday, December 21, 2010 and Bhog will take place on December 23, 2010 at 4:00 pm.
