It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear husband, father and grandfather Karl Schifke, 88 years of age, on Sunday March 24, 2013.
Karl leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Olga, children, Norbert (Correen), Elisabeth (Gary), Herman (Elaine), Gerhard (Kim), grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Karl was predeceased by his parents, former loving wife Kunnigunda, youngest daughter Hannelore, and his brothers and sisters.
Karl immigrated to Canada in 1958, to provide a better life for his family. He worked as a welder at Versatile industries until his retirement at the age of 65, 1989. He always looked forward to and enjoyed many summers at Camp Neustadt with his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Karl's favorite charity, the Humane Society.
Services will be held at 10:30 am, Friday April 5, 2013, at St. John Lutheran Church, 370 McKenzie St.
Interment at Brookside Cemetery.
