Dear Dianne Blair and Leeanne
Today I met up with Blair and he told me his Dad ,  Larry had passed away in January. I am completely saddened beyond words. I grew up in Virden and my father,  Tom , umpired for the RCMP fastball team. We knew many of the detachment members and treasured our friendships. But Larry was the kindest gentleman. He rescued me many times  and always with a smile, whether a car that wouldn’t start or Dad’s half ton halfway down the road. Larry had a smile that made you feel special. My Dad , Tom , was his family’s Santa and  Larry always said I was the elf! Larry will be remembered with honour because of his service with the RCMP and his visits to our farm. My heart aches tonight but a toast of Baileys to you Larry.

Condolences to Diane, Blair, Leanne, & Kelly on the loss of a special person. in the last few years i enjoyed our lunches and visits. Also our many visits around the curling rink. I'll miss the visits with Larry. RIP my friend

Sincere condolences to the family on Larry`s passing.   I have known Larry a long time and always enjoyed his company.    In our later years in our ``retirement jobs`` the friendship continued.   At Manitoba Finance Larry was part of our surveillance crew and his experience and dedication was appreciated by everyone.    He will be missed.

Condolences to the Keyes family on losing their husband, father and grandfather. I had the pleasure of knowing Larry when I worked in Winnipeg at the RCMP headquarters. He was one of the good ones, He always had a smile on his face, a kind word and a good story to tell. RIP Larry and thank you for your dedication and service. 

Dianne and family...my sincere condolences on Larry's passing.  We played hockey on the "O" team and have a team photo on my wall from our tournament win in the old Rockcliffe arena, 1968-69.   Fond memories.  May God's blessings be with you and the family in the days ahead.  

Our sympathies to Dianne, Blair, Leanne and families during this most difficult time. I trained with Larry in 1962, shared an apartment with him in Toronto. He was a good friend. I saw him in the past few years when he visited Leanne in the Ottawa region. Our thoughts are with you.

To Diane and the Keyes family - my deepest condolences on Larry’s passing. I worked with Larry at the Manitoba Gaming Control Commission.  He always had a great story to tell and that big, beautiful smile was infectious. He loved Diane and his family so much. He was  most proud of his grand kids and always shared stories of their achievements. Larry truly was "one of the good ones."

To the Keyes family - my deepest condolences on Larry’s passing. It was a pleasure to work with him at both  Lotteries and then the Gaming Commission. Many fond memories of Conferences in the US and golf tournaments. Larry was definitely one of the nice guys and a great friend to all who knew him. He will be missed. Rest in Peace my friend.

My thoughts and prayers are with you, Dianne, Blair, Leanne and families during this most difficult time.  I worked with Larry, both in Virden and Winnipeg.  He was always a gentleman and a good supervisor.  I had not seen Larry in many years but I always knew we had a special bond after January 23, 1978.  God Bless.

To the Keyes families:  Please accept our deep condolences  on the passing of Larry.  Karry and I met in Regina in 1962 when we went through basic training with the RCMP.  He stayed out west and I went to the far east after training, but was fortunate to meet again when we had a troop reunion in Regina, several years  later, after retirement.  Dianne, remember the good times with Larry to aid in comforting you during this time of sorrow.  God Bless.

So sorry to hear of Larry’s passing. We worked together in the 1979 & the early 80’s in Virden & I’d see him occasionally at a Vets meeting or event. He is one of the nicest people I’ve ever known.

To Larry's family, on behalf of the Manitoba RCMP Veterans Association we are extending our deepest condolences on this surprise.  Larry was at one of our recent meetings and we talked briefly.
