Mrs. Leona Valerie Boone

Cooper) said goodbye to our beloved mother, Leona Valerie Boone (nee Davis). Leona was born on

August 25, 1931 and passed away on Monday, January 31st.

Our hearts are aching now; we know that time will heal those aches and that our Mum is at peace with

her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and is dancing once again with our dad, Marcel Boone. There is much

rejoicing in heaven as her husband Marcel Boone; her son Don Boone; parents Frank and Adrienne Davis

(nee Delbaere); sister Elsie Deneweth; and all the saints who passed on before her, welcomed her with

open arms.

Mum will be greatly missed by her 4 children; 6 grandchildren, Jennifer Kleiber (Leonard), Shannon

Hiebert (Will), Jonathon Boone (Jamie), Catherine Strempler (Andrew), Gina Passante (Ben Tucker), and

Selina Watt (Walker); 12 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; brother Richard Davis

(Linda); and sister Geri Devlin. Mum had a hug and infectious smile for everyone she met. The nurses,

doctors and health care aides at the Grace Hospital said Leona was such a blessing and always had a

cheerful hello and smile, never complained, had a wonderful sense of humor, and had a beautiful

heart.

Mum, we love you and miss you more than we can express. Please give Dad, Don, Grandma and

Grandpa a big hug for us. Your legacy of love, faith, and family will live on in each of our hearts and be

forever cherished.

We want to give a special thank you to the doctors, nurses, and health care aides at the Grace Hospital

Emergency, Ward 3 North, and Ward 2 South. We truly appreciate the love and kindness you extended

to our mother during her stay.

Our family will host an open house to celebrate Mum’s memory in the spring.
