1940-2019
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bridget Sinclair, peacefully and surrounded by family on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 after a long and arduous battle of raising three boys.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Mike of Domain, MB, Blake (Michelle) of Calgary AB, and Shawn (Adele) of Winnipeg; her grandchildren Jessica, Riley, Anna, and Jeff; her sister Julia, nephew Kevin and the daughter she never had, her niece Rochelle, as well as many other extended family members.
Bridget was born in Flin Flon, raised in Emerson then schooled at McGill University for physio therapy. Love brought her to the north to Thompson where she married Glen Sinclair.
Her love of music brought her into the fold of the Aurora singers in Thompson creating a sisterhood that lasted a lifetime. She also enjoyed summers at the lake and winter ski trips, but no matter where she was always the life of the party and could be counted on for getting you into trouble.
Bridget loved her kids and grandkids and was happiest when she could hold family feasts and make everyone belly laugh with her wit and humor.
After Glen’s passing she made her home in the Winnipeg Canoe Club where she joined a community of great friends.
She is predeceased by her parents Bill and Olive Lewthwaite, and her love of 47 years, Glen Sinclair.
There will be a come and go celebration of Bridget’s life at the Grant Park Fionn MacCool’s Irish Pub Thursday April 25 from 2-5pm.
A family interment will take place at a later date at Thomson “In the Park” Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bridget’s memory to a charity of one's choice.
