OBITUARY

Lily S. K. Lau

February 18, 1936January 12, 2020

On Sunday, Jan 12, 2020 at Fred Douglas Lodge, Lily Left us for her eternal home in heaven. Free at last from earthly worries, anxieties and pain, she had graduated to glory.

She was predeceased by her husband Philip.

She will be sadly missed by daughter Grace, and sons, Peter and Timothy; as well as friends and relatives.

Lily was a kind, compassionate, Christian woman of strength; the matriarch and the pillar of strength in the family.

Music was an integral part of the family. Mom played the piano, harmonica, and loves to sing. As a faithful member of the Winnipeg Chinese Alliance Church, she taught Sunday school, and led as the chair person for the Ladies Fellowship. With husband Philip, they provided transportation for the seniors as well as visiting members staying in hospitals.

A Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 17, 2020 at 10:00 am at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard. Viewing will take place prior to the funeral service followed by interment. Thanks to the facility staff’s support during her difficult final days. The heartfelt prayers, phone calls and visits from Christian friends are deeply appreciated.

We love and miss you mom. Gone but not forgotten.

Sincere condolences to Grace and family on your Mum’s passing.
Grace, I’m sure your Mum appreciated your faithful daily visits to the F.D. Lodge to assist her.
The first time I met you and your Mum was when I passed the activity room and you were both at the piano. Cherish the good memories. Take care.

Grace, Peter and Tim

Sorry to hear of your loss. I fondly remember the times that your mom and dad served faithfully in the church without much notice of fanfare. They were true servants of God.

May God continue to be with the three of you at this time.

Jess
