

Linda Irene Golis, born on August 17, 1964, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, passed away on January 21, 2024, in her hometown. Linda was a beloved daughter, friend, and teacher, and her passing has left a void in the hearts of all who knew her.
Linda dedicated her life to teaching and touched the lives of countless young individuals with her vibrant and caring personality. Her passion for helping youth extended beyond the classroom, as she continued as a substitute teacher and youth group home mentor after her retirement. Linda had a remarkable ability to connect with children and lift them up, leaving an indelible impact on their lives.
After retirement, Linda sought out new ways to help people and learned reiki, demonstrating her unwavering commitment to making a positive difference in the world. She was a beacon of light for those in need, always ready to lend a helping hand and provide comfort and support to those around her.
Linda's love for the outdoors and her active lifestyle were evident to all who knew her. She shared her passion for movement and empowerment through her Zumba classes, which were always filled with eager participants who were inspired by her energy and enthusiasm. She loved plants and her gardens were amazing. In her spare time, she found joy in crystal collecting, crocheting, diamond art, and reading, showcasing her creativity and love for learning.
Her magnetic personality drew people to her, and she had a remarkable ability to make others feel comfortable, laugh, and embrace life to the fullest. Linda's infectious spirit and unwavering kindness touched the lives of everyone she encountered, leaving a lasting impression on all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Linda's family and friends extend their heartfelt gratitude to Cancer Care at the Grace Hospital for the exceptional and attentive care provided to her during the last three years. The support and acceptance she received from her Chemo Savvy team were invaluable to her during her battle with cancer.

A celebration of life in Linda’s honour will be held at Klassen Funeral Home on February 15th, 2024 at 2pm with refreshments to follow.
