It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Lionel at the age of 89, with family by his side. He passed away on Wednesday, March 18, in Palliative Care at the Riverview Health Centre.
Lionel will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 63 years, Carolyn, children Janet and Lionel (Joy), grandchildren Cali and Sutter (Alexys), sister Shelagh, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents Louis Joseph Charron and Clemence Ida Charron (nee Montsion).
A Memorial Celebration will take place on Friday, April 10 at 10:00 a.m. at Thomson “In the Park” Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. This date would have marked Lionel’s 90th birthday.
Donations in Lionel’s memory may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, or a charity of your choice.
