Marc is survived by his two loving sons, Shaun (Melissa) and James; granddaughter Isla, grandson Mason; mother Inez Duguay (nee Allard); brother Louis and nephew Dustin, sister Lynne Magnusson (Mike) and niece Samantha and nephews Aamon and Connor, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was pre-deceased by his father Sam in 2012.
Next to his family, Marc loved science and especially computers. After a career counselor told him there was no future in computers, he graduated in 1979 from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Chemistry. He made his career as a chemist at RW Packaging, Interprovincial Co-Op and the Food Development Centre in Portage la Prairie. In 1992, Marc followed a cherished opportunity to work with computers and became IT Manager for Continental Grain, which took him eventually into accounting. He finished his career working in both fields representing Sage Canada.
Marc also loved music, keeping up with leading edge stereo equipment to play his extensive collection of recording and playing piano for amusement and relaxation. At family gathering, he loved to join his mother and Aunt Freda at the keyboard to fill the house with tunes. Though not an athlete himself, Marc was very involved in the sports activities of his sons, as a coach and team manager and proud father of two skillful and accomplished hockey players. In his recent years, he extended the same love to his grandchildren, especially enjoying face time with Isla and Mason.
