

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Myrtle Margaret Hunter on June 12, 2012 at the age of 89 years. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
Raised in Balmoral, MB, Myrtle left school at an early age to help with the raising of the family and the chores around the farm. After raising her own family, she generously donated her time as a volunteer at Grey Street United Church and was a volunteer at the Concordia hospital gift shop for 25 years. She was a considerate and selfless soul all her long life.
Myrtle was pre-deceased by her loving husband Hector Thompson Hunter and her siblings George, Madge, Harry and Muriel.
Left behind to cherish her memory is her younger brother Art; her children Helen (Joe), Ruth (Joe), Brian (Barb), Charles (Susan), and Shirley; and her precious grandchildren Peter, Richard, Kelly, Matthew, Daniel, Kerri, Chelsea, Tyler and Kenneth. Also remembering her are numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday June 15th at Thomson “In the Park” Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard with interment to follow in Waverley Memorial Gardens, 1501 Waverley Street.
