It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend Mary Ironside on April 20, 2023 at the age of 85 years. Mary was predeceased by her husband Charlie in 2018. She will forever be remembered and missed by sons David (Mary Jane) of Kelowna, Stephen of Winnipeg, daughter in law Heather, grandchildren Allison (Colin), Kirsten and Sara and great grandchildren Luke and Harrison all of Winnipeg. She is also survived by family and friends in England and Aberdeen and Inverness, Scotland.
Mary devoted her life to pleasing others and cheering up those around her. She took pride in spending time with her granddaughters and great grandsons. Mary was very proud to support Charlie in the soccer community. Mary had a very contagious smile and her positivity enlightened the room around her.
A memorial service will be held Friday, April 28th at 10:00 AM at Thompson “In the Park” Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd.
We’d like to give a special thanks to all the nurses and staff of 6A South at St. Boniface Hospital.
