Mr. Matthew Trevor Patterson Franklin

May 10, 1987 - January 6, 2012

A beloved grandson, son, brother and friend, Matthew passed away on January 6, 2012, at the age of 24.

Matt was born and raised in Winnipeg, MB, where he spent countless hours on the road as a driver/mover. Matt was a charming, handsome man whose sense of humor and love for life disarmed, seduced and delighted everyone he met. He was kind hearted and would go out of his way for anyone. Matt’s passion to help those around him was shown through his goals in becoming a paramedic, which he would have started in September.

Matt is survived by his grandmother Elsie (Gary), grandfather Donnie, mother Dawn, siblings (Nikki, Holly, Alyssa and Steven), aunt Debbie (John), cousins, Derek, Destiny, uncle Billy, aunt Darlene (George), and many other aunts, uncles and cousins.

Alongside his immediate family, Matt will also be leaving behind his close friends: Brandon, Thanh, Kevin, Marvin, Darryl, all the boys at Two Amigos, and Sharon, all of whom Matt considered as family.

A memorial service celebrating Matt’s life will be held on Sunday, January 22, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in Thomson in the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard.
