Mike was predeceased by his parents as well as sisters and brothers Nellie, John, Steve, Bill, Tom, Ann, Ellen, Dorothy, Nick and Andrew.
He is survived by son Lorne (Audrey); grandchildren Allison (Rob), Todd (Evelyn), Kimberly (Keith), Michael (Lindsay); 8 great-grandchildren; sisters Rose and Elizabeth and brother Metro; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
As a member of the Ft. Garry Congregation of Jehovah’s Witness, Mike’s faith and confidence was in the Resurrection Hope, John 5:28 and 29 and Revelations 21: 1-5.
Due to recent concerns with traveling and group events, the "celebration of life" event in honor of Mike Popowich, has been postponed from March 23 at Thomson "In the Park".
