Mrs. Mukhtiar Kaur

She was born on April 10, 1934, in Kotla Rai Ka, India, the daughter of Bhag Singh and Harnam Kaur. She came to Canada on October 21, 1993 where she later went on to obtain her Canadian citizenship on December 14, 1999.

Mukhtiar is survived by her husband of 70 years, Balbir Singh; four sons, Gurdip Warha, Hakam Warha, Angrej Warha and Avtar Warha; four daughters-in-law, Paramjit K. Warha, Harpreet K. Warha, Nirmal K. Warha and Gurmeet K. Warha.

She was a loving grandmother to all ten of her grandchildren, Sarbi, Sukhvir, Navi, Arminder, Amrit, Arshdeep, Vikram, Karanvir, Harman and Sahej.

She also leaves behind many other family members and friends who will greatly miss her.

Mukhtiar was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as a grandmother. She was full of life and found happiness in the smallest of things. She was a kindhearted soul who loved all that life had to offer her and always made people around her laugh. She will be greatly missed and will hold a special place in everyone’s hearts.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 1, 2020, at Thomson "In The Park" Funeral Home.
