Mr. Paolo Luigi Alfredo Menei

It is with great sadness that that we announce the passing of our father, Nonno, great Nonno, brother and Zio on May 20, 2013 at Riverview Health Center.

Dad was born on June 17, 1932 in San Giorgio Crognaleto Italy. When he was old enough, he joined and served with the Alpini division of the Italian Army.

In 1955 he married his bride Ida in San Giorgio Italy, and later immigrated to Winnipeg in 1962 where he worked in construction until he retired.

He will be greatly missed by his wife Ida, children: Luciano of Italy, Annamaria/Moe (Francesca, Paul), Giuseppe/Maria (Christina, Andrea), Franco/Esaura(Michael,Tyler) also his great grandchildren Aaron, Nicholas & Savanna

Also brothers Domenico/Renata of Winnipeg and Salvatore/Giuseppina of Italy as well as his nieces & nephews.

Dad’s pride and joy was his family. Dad would always meet you with a smile, and made you feel like the most important person in the world. He enjoyed his gardening & wine making, and his wonderful neighbours. Part of his enjoyment was reading his Bible. His last breath on earth was his first breath in heaven. Absent from the body, present with the Lord.

Viewing will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tursday, May 23, 2013 at Holy Rosary Parish, 510 River Avenue, followed by Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held at 1501 Waverley Avenue. Reception to follow at Holy Rosary Parish.

Flowers are gratefully declined, donations may be made to Riverview Health Centre, Palliative Care 3 East.
