

Parmjit Kaur Sidhu passed peacefully on December 15, 2025. She will be lovingly remembered by her sons Jatinder Singh Sidhu (Nalini) and Ranjinder Singh Sidhu (Kuljeet) and her four grandchildren - Nikhil, Seema, Angad and Shaan. She is also survived by her brother Gurmukh Singh Bains (Jasminder Kaur), sister-in-law Swarn Kaur Sidhu (Late Gurbax Singh), brother-in-law Ajit Singh Sidhu (Manjit Kaur), brother-in-law Jagtar Singh Sidhu (Harjit Kaur), sister-in-law Harjeet Kaur Mann (Late Jasbir Singh), sister-in-law Pritam Kaur Mann (Late Balbir Singh), sister-in-law Kuldip Kaur Dhindsa (Harjinder Singh), sister-in-law Surjit Kaur Dhillon (Late Khark Singh), and sister-in-law Gholi Kaur Dhillon (Sher Singh). Parmjit is predeceased by her loving husband Mewa Singh Sidhu and her sister Kernail Kaur Madahar (Pal Singh).
Arriving in Winnipeg in the early 1970s with her husband and their children, Parmjit and Mewa Singh were the first to establish the Sidhu family within Canada. Their hard work and countless sacrifices built a strong foundation for generations to come.
Parmjit will be remembered for her generous spirit and her belief that everyone was family. A natural community builder, she opened her doors to all and ensured that everyone who came through was met with a smile and a warm meal.
A funeral to celebrate her life will be held on Monday, December 22, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard. Prayer services will follow at Sikh Society of Manitoba, 1244 Mollard Road.
