Ramon is predeceased by his parents, Agapito and Aurelia Cruz, and his brother, Reynaldo Cruz.
Ramon is survived by his loving wife Ethel of 29 years. They were married in Lucena City, Philippines on June 21, 1985.
Ramon is lovingly remembered by his wife Ethel of Winnipeg; brother Jimmy (Loida) Cruz of Winnipeg, Romy (Beth) Cruz of Vancouver,BC; sisters Rosie, Raquel (Rey) Punzalan, Baby (Jacob) Javier of Winnipeg; daughters, Richelle (Jason) Carandang, Monique, and Aura and loving nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Ramon was born in Tondo, Manila in 1953. He graduated from Torres High School and went on to earn a Degree in Bachelors of Science in Communication at the Luzonian University. He worked as a Radio Broadcaster for 30 years and was well respected in his field.
Ramon enjoyed playing basketball and spending time with his family.
The visitation was held at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home and Cemetery, 1291 McGillivary Blvd. Winnipeg, Manitoba on January 4, 2015 at 6:00PM.
Interment was also held at Thomson "In the Park" Cemetery on January 6, 2015 at 11:00AM.
