November 23, 1929 - May 8th, 2010
Ray died suddenly after a mercifully brief illness at the Health Sciences Centre on Saturday, May 8th, 2010.
Born in Benito, Manitoba to Dorothy and Ashel Scouten, Ray became a Professional Engineer in 1954 and practiced until his retirement in 1995.
Ray was a founding partner of Scouten, Mitchell, Sigurdson, Consulting Engineers in Winnipeg, now known as SMS Engineering.
He will be sadly missed and forever remembered by Charlene, his wife and best friend of 55 years, and his family, Jeff (Angela), David, Lisa (David) and Daniel and his dear grandchildren Sarah, Jacob, Anna, Alex, Jon & Eric.
One of Ray's great joys was his many years spent at Longbow Lake, Ontario which he shared with family and friends. He loved his "camp".
Ray would like to be remembered as a friend to all who knew him.
A celebration of Ray's life will take place on Friday, May 14th at 2 p.m. at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd.
Flowers gratefully declined and a donation to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
