Rob was predeceased by his mother, Audrey, and father, H. Robert. He leaves to mourn: his loving wife of 43 years, Jane; his son Christopher Hook (Angela), his daughter Alexis Silver (David); beloved grandchildren Tayen, Elijah, Kallan and Sydney; brothers William Hook (Diane) of Winnipeg, Gordon Hook (Ann) of Sydney, Australia, David Hook (Margaret) of St. Albert, Alberta, and nephews Kyle, Tim, Shaun, and Ryan.
Rob was a former actor, teacher at King's College School (Nova Scotia) and Rothesay Collegiate (New Brunswick); a published author and poet, and a retired partner at the law firm of Fillmore Riley.
A memorial reception will be held on Thursday, March 30 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Thomson Funeral Home, 699 Broadway in Winnipeg.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John Ambulance or the Winnipeg Humane Society.
