Robert Bradley Whitmore

Bob is survived by his loving wife Cheri Rohloff; mother Gwen, mother and father in law Kerry and Lorie; brothers and sister David, Gordon, Scott, and Katherine and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his father John Whitmore and his brother Bruce Whitmore.

Bob grew up on the Whitmore Family Farm in Dauphin, Manitoba and completed his high school education at the DRCSS. Bob got his BSc in Computer Science & Psychology at Brandon University. Immediately after graduation he landed an analyst/programmer position. That began a long and successful career for Bob as a Business Analyst, Consultant, and Architect for a wide range of customers including SAAN, Ceridian, Manitoba Telecom Services, Manitoba Public Insurance, Investors Group, Sierra Systems, Kesitah Systems, and Calculated Vision. Bob eventually bought a character home in the Wolesley area of Winnipeg and quickly blended in with the community and lifestyle that the neighborhood is known for. He enjoyed working on his home and opened it to friends, family, neighbors, musicians, as well as the neighborhood pets. It is during this period that Bob met the love of his life Cheri. They did many things together, including travelling to Jamaica, Thailand and lived in Mexico for a year. Along for the ride to Mexico was Bob’s best buddy Pogue who was truly a loyal companion. In 2010, Bob and Cheri finally tied the knot with an intimate service in the forest.

Bob was an amazing chef and created some extraordinary dishes that made him a big hit at all pot luck parties. Bob loved his family (Reddit, dressing up for Halloween and many artistic endeavors). He cherished his wife Cheri, he loved doing things for his mom, and he tried to be a part of the lives of his many brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. He was a great guy in all respects and has left us way too soon. We’ll tremendously miss his hugs, smile, laugh, generosity and so much more.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, October 14, 2016 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 1:00pm at Thomson Funeral Home.
