Wow... found ourselves thinking about Roly.... I guess we're only about 11 years late on finding out about his passing.  We owned an airplane at Falcon Field, Az and I used to run into Roly pretty often when he would fly his airplane down.  Crazy good guy!  I always enjoyed the way he looked at life.  Wish I could have stayed in touch. RIP Roll!

To Sylvia and Family:  We are so sad to hear of Roly's sudden passing.  We both have very fond memories starting with Transair, Art as a fellow pilot and Jane as an agent.  The constant smile and may laughs we shared will always be with us.

Ray, I have just become aware of your Dad's passing and wish to pass on my condolences to you, your Mom and your entire family. Although I never crossed paths with your Dad at Canadian Airlines, I surely must have met him at our Wings Graduation ceremony in Gimli. After viewing the photo gallery, I have no doubt that he enjoyed a fabulous life both in family and in flying. Please know that our thoughts are with you and your family as you grieve your loss.

Although based in Edmonton Rollie and I shared a few flights on the Boeing 737 to Gillam and Churchill with PWA towards the end of his career. He was a fine gentleman and we shared a few laughs and successful flights. I remember him being surprised that I knew Ray during the early 1970s in Bagotville during my Air Force days. Sylvia: Nancy and I were saddened to hear of Rolly passing. Nancy has fond memories of Rolly coming out to the Air Canada Medical Clinic to renew his pilots medical, especially when he would remind her of how he and her brother Bill Nyman, a fellow pilot were such good friends. We always enjoyed visiting with you both in Mesa, when we would stay with Bill and Doreen, also when Bill and I would visit Rolly at his hanger a Lynncrest field. Bill was so looking forward to visiting Rolly out there when we complete our last float plane trip in the C180 next week. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

To Ray and Loraine and all family. I am saddened to hear that Rolly has passed away and I wish you all, only the fondest of memories. To put this in perspective, I first met Rolly when his son, Ray and I, were proceeding through military helicopter training in 1977 in Portage La Prairie. Rolly arrived at the Mess, and was proudly introduced by his son as a fellow aviator, being a commercial airline pilot for Canadian Airlines. Out entire course was impressed with Rolly who was mutually impressed with his son, Ray, who later when on to impress all his flying compatriots, the rest of the nation, and NATO countries as well. Fast forward to 2008, and Ray advises me that his octogenerian father had purchased a single engine plane and plans to fly it from the point of purchase (Ottawa) to his province of habitat, (Manitoba) and requires the services of a competent co-pilot to assist in the transit. The younger Henault was duly enlisted into service, and father, (pilot in command), and son, (first officer), did conduct the flight successfully across Ontario, over and around the Great Lakes, and the weather, and safely back to Manitoba. Afterwards, I do recall telling Ray that, I don`t think that there is a previous case on record, of a a four star general serving as co-pilot to an 82 year pilot  in command, and what`s more, an 82 year old, who is still buying aircraft!!. These are just my brief glimpses of Rolly, but brief glimpses can say a lot, To a great life lived, a wonderful family, and memories that are etched.......(in this case, no doubt about it)......in the sky.
