My thoughts will be with you all on Tuesday as you celebrate the life of Aunt Ruth.  

I will miss not seeing her the next time I fly west, but Marnie and I will still talk about her and the fun times we had with her.

The only thing I am thinking of now is what Aunt Ruth told me in October 2014 (or maybe 2013).  She said that Carole climbed onto her lap after school one day when Carole was seven.  Carole straddled her legs, held Ruth's face with both hands, and asked Ruth to promise that she would never die.  Aunt Ruth replied that she could not promise that but that she would try to live a long time.  Aunt Ruth did an excellent job of keeping that promise.

Dear cousins
My Aunt Ruthie will always remain alive in my memory.  I think my earliest memories of her were in Winnipeg when she lived with us while she attended business college.  Especially sitting around the supper table after everyone was back home for the day.  She was much loved by many and will not be forgotten.
