Sardar Devinder Singh Bharaj

Devinder was born in Droli Kalan, raised in New Delhi and later set down roots with his family here in Winnipeg. He will be deeply missed by his soul mate and wife of 45 years, Manjeet Kaur; his son, Jitendar Singh; his daughter, Ameet Kaur; family and numerous dear friends. Devinder was predeceased by his father, Hari Singh and mother, Harnam Kaur; his brother, Rattan Singh and sister, Rattan Kaur.

Fine artist by profession, he was gifted in classical music and it was his passion. Devinder found joy indulging his creative side with various projects, gardening, and spending time with his family. A deeply devoted husband and father, his family was his life and with his strength and guidance he laid down the path for his children to achieve lifelong success.

A memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Thomson “In the Park” Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard. Prayers will follow at Gurdwara Nanaksar, 255 St David Road.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Devinder's memory to the Victoria General Hospital Foundation, 2340 Pembina Hwy, Winnipeg, MB R3T 2E8 or a charity of your choice.
