It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of So Ung Lee on August 9, 2023 at Grace Hospital at the age of 83 years.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband Gim Loon and her children Donald (Polly), Mary, David and Judy; grandchildren Samantha, Steven, Matthew, Michelle and Marcus.
So Ung was born on December 26, 1939 in China. She came to Canada with her husband Gim Loon in 1959 and settled in Manitou. The Grand Cafe restaurant became their home and business for many years before So Ung and her husband retired to Winnipeg in 1987. The family would like to thank all the staff at Brightwater Senior Living of Tuxedo and St. Norbert Personal Care Home for their loving care and attention to our mother and grandmother during her final years and months.
Her love and devotion to her family will always be remembered and cherished.
