Following a brief illness our dad Stanley passed away on April 11, 2017, at age 87.
He is survived by his children Lori Martin (Rick), Vance Brown, Sandy Burland (Rob), 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren his brother Doug Brown, his niece Lynn Schneider (Rob) and family and several cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents Connie and Errol Brown and Shirley Fargey.
Dad was born in Elrose, SK, and he grew up in Portage la Prairie. He attended the Manitoba and Saskatoon Schools for the Deaf. Stanley was well known for his skills as a barber in Portage la Prairie and in later years he was a painter for the Manitoba Public Works Dept.
Cremation has taken place and dad will be laid to rest in Portage la Prairie alongside his parents at a private family service.
