Sukhdev Singh Manget

Sukdev was born September 4, 1951 in Malkpur, Punjab, India. He received a Bachelor of Arts from Mata Gujri College, Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab, India. He immigrated to Canada, and was employed at Macdon Industries for many years.

Sukhdev S. Manget is survived by his wife Jarnail (Sukhwant) Kaur, his son Dalwinder Manget and his precious granddaughter Parneet (Pari) Manget. He is survived by his five brothers: Harminder S. Mangat (Gurnam Kaur), Tarlochan S. Mangat (Harbant Kaur), Jasbir S. Manget (Charnjit Kaur), Gurcharan S. Mangat (Rajinder Kaur) and Avtar S. Manget (Parvinder Kaur). He was predeceased by his father, Nahar S. Mangat, and his mother, Ranjit Kaur. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews, mainly residing in Canada.

Sukhdev was a very hard-working man who didn't hesitate to help others. The most extraordinary moment in his life was seeing his mother, who was lovingly referred to as Bibi, for the first time after 35 years.

The Manget family is grateful for his care at Simkin Center, Winnipeg.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, December 23, 2024 at Thomson “In the Park” Funeral Home 1291 McGillivray Boulevard.

Prayer Services will follow at Pipeline Gurudwara Sikh Society of Manitoba, 1244 Mollard Drive, immediately after the funeral.
