Terry was born in Winkler, MB to parents Herbert and Irene Lowen. In his youth he lived in many towns in rural Manitoba, developing his smart, witty and fun loving personality. He would lay his roots in Winnipeg, with his primary focus on caring for his family and raising his own.

In his life he also took great pride in his work for the elevator industry, starting as a mechanic and going on to be an inspector for the province. He was also skilled in electrical work, providing his services to family and friends.

In retirement, he enjoyed reading military history, operating ham radio, and breakfasts with his friends at the Jolly Mug.

He is survived by son Curtiss (Roxanne) Lowen, sister Faye Ennis, nieces Glenda (Victor) Falkowski, Sandy (Kelly) Bergman, and great-nieces Kara & Kiana.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 10, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Thomson “In the Park” Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard.

Our deepest condolences to Terry's family. Terry was our neighbour for many years. We were very lucky to have him next door to us as he kept close watch on our place when we were out. The last number of years he had health issues and we made sure that his driveway was always clear of snow in the winter. He will be missed.
