Anselmo is survived by his wife Silvana of 57 years; sons Piero and Federico (Gina); grandchildren Katrina, Marcus, Sergio, Silvana, and Chryssa.
Anselmo was predeceased by his parents Giuseppe Angelo, and Congetta, and brothers and sisters, Agustino, Luigi, Luca, Isolina, Valentino, and Maria-Grazia.
Anselmo was born in the small village of Aiello Di Crognaleto in the province of Teramo, Italy on March 18, 1927. In August 1960 he married the love of his life Silvana, and in October 1964 both Anselmo and Silvana immigrated to Canada. Anselmo would raise his family in Winnipeg, where he worked in the construction industry for 25 years. Anselmo loved his garden, making his wine every fall, and in retirement loved visiting his many friends who would congregate at the Grant Park Shopping center. Anselmo’s greatest love however was his family and he always took great pleasure when he was surrounded by his wife, sons, and grandchildren.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Avenue with viewing at 10:00 am.
