Peacefully in his sleep in the early morning hours of Saturday, August 31, 2013 at the age of 83 years, Will passed away at home.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 62 years Gerry, their three children Cheryl (Stan), Cathy (Don), and Cooper (Suzy), 11 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren, his sisters, Bev, Hilda and brother-in-law Ralph (Diane), as well as a large extended family.
Will was employed at Manitoba Telephone System for 37 years. He was past president of the IBEW an accomplishment he was very proud of. Will was an avid Bomber fan, and a charter member of the Society of Beavers. He enjoyed cottage life, bowling, fishing and golf but most of all he treasured his family. He was a kind and generous man, who will be missed by many.
Viewing will be held Wednesday, September 4 from 7-8:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, September 5 at 2:00 p.m. also at Klassen Funeral Home. Private family interment at a later date.
