Yvette is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Ray; sister, Simonne Labaty; brother-in-law Ken Dryden; and numerous nieces and nephews; and their families in Canada, the U.S., England and Scotland.
She was predeceased by her Mom, Amanda Ducharme; sister and brother-in-law Eva and Hank Perron; brother and sister-in-law, Les and Marie LaFrance; sister-in-law, Marian Dryden; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Anne and Dennis Cole; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Joseph and Jenny Hay; and Nephews, Robert and Jerry Perron; as well as her fur babies, Brandy and Maggie and fur nephew, Skipper.
Yvette was a woman ahead of her time. She started working at Eaton’s after high school and through hard work and determination, became a fashion buyer for Eaton’s. She enjoyed her job tremendously and talked fondly of her buying trips to New York, Paris, London, Italy and Hong Kong, to name a few. She had a great sense of style, and many women in Winnipeg benefitted from her talent! And, how we loved to get those postcards from her during her travels, not to mention the souvenirs from her trip!
She will be sorely missed by us all; she was a wonderful wife, sister and aunt.
At Yvette’s request there will be no funeral service.
As Yvette loved her “doggies,” donations to the Humane Society would be appreciated in lieu of flowers.
A huge thank you to the staff at Tuxedo Villa; and her last home, Golden Links, for their exceptional care and compassion over the last 14 months.
Love you more!
