to the late Paul Decoe Smith and Nina Weavil Smith. Ann was a 1965 graduate of North Forsyth High School.
Ann worked for Forsyth County Schools followed by Topography Studios. She had a heart for helping others which lead her to a lifelong career with Stokes County Department of Social Services.
Ann enjoyed being a part of the North Forsyth High School classmate luncheons. She loved taking train rides in the mountains and trips to the beach but her most cherished time was spent with her family. Ann spent every moment she could with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her brothers, Decoe Smith and James Smith.
She leaves behind her children, Dionne (Allan) Mulwee and Vic (Janet) Vance; grandchildren, Spencer
(Hannah) Foy, Mitchell Foy, Rollins Vance, Damon Flinchum, Kathryn Vance, and Olivia Vance; great
grandson, Grayson Vance; sister, June (Richard) Branon; sister-in-law, Alva Smith; many nieces,
nephews, and loved ones.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, February 19th from 2pm-4pm at Vogler
Funeral & Cremations.
