Barbara R. Taylor, the beloved wife of Jack Taylor and surrounded by the love of her daughter, Brenda O'Shea, joined her savior in heaven on the 21st day of July 2025, at the wonderful age of 94.

Attending Adelphi college in New York, she was a member of Delta, Delta, Delta Sorority, and obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree. It was during her sophomore year of college that she met her future husband, and they enjoyed 54 years of blissful marriage.

Following her graduation from college, she began her career as a Senior Medical Technologist at Meadowbrook Hospital in New York, where she remained until her retirement in 1970. Several years after retiring, she relocated with her family to North Carolina.

During her retirement, she remained involved with the Peacehaven Homemakers Club and NE Cooperative Extension Services and continued to pursue her interests in gardening and reading, with the Bible being her favorite book. She loved participating in NAD/DSA conventions and traveling to various states across America with her family. Additionally, she regularly attended services at the Friendly Avenue Church of Christ in Greensboro, commuting alongside close friends.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband Jack, and her two brothers, Roger and William.

She is survived by her second daughter, Jennifer Rose Ong, and her granddaughter, Lucille Winifred Ong. In addition, she survives with her grandson, Michael O'Shea, and his wife, Darlene O'Shea.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Saint Paul's Episcopal Church on Friday, November 14, 2025 at 11am.
