Betty Arnder Booth, 91, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2026. She was a resident of Village Care of King. Born on April 23, 1935, in Patrick County, VA. She was the daughter of the late William G. Arnder and the late Annie Reynolds Arnder.
Betty worked in manufacturing at Amp Inc for about 33 years. She loved working there and always gave 150 percent. When she was younger, she loved to go to the square dances at the VFW and the American Legion. She had a pull behind camper and enjoyed going camping at various campgrounds in the surrounding area and also owned a camping lot at Myrtle Beach. She was a devout Christian. She loved to read her Bible and always looked forward to seeing Jesus Christ step out onto a cloud at the end of time, now she will be able to do it with him. She was always a kind and loving person and tried to help everyone regardless of who they were or how they lived their life. She is and will always be loved and missed until we all meet again.
She was preceded in death by her father, William G. Arnder; her mother, Annie R. Arnder; her brother, Billy Arnder; her sisters, Lucille A. Whittington and Blanche A. Dwiggins; her sons, Dennis L. Booth, Edward A. Booth, and Jeffrey W. Booth; and her daughters, Kathy B. Butner and Angela B. Johnston.
She is survived by her sister, Dorothy "Dot" A. Essick; her son, David F. Booth (Debra); and her daughter-in-law, Amanda H. Booth.
She also had several Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be held at Vogler Funeral and Cremations at Forsyth Memorial Park, Friday, July 31, 2026.
The family will receive visitors between 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM, the funeral will begin at 2:00PM, and the burial will follow at the cemetery.
