Betty married Fitzhugh Lee Penn, Jr. (deceased) in 1959.
Betty was an active community servant and volunteer throughout her life, including service at Reynolda House, Best Health Community Center, and Baptist Hospital.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Mark Adelhelm; son, David Penn; son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Robin Penn; and grandsons, Danny, Drew and David Adelhelm.
A graveside service will be Saturday, March 23, 2013, 11:00 am, at Forsyth Memorial Park.
